Full Job Description: 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive automation of accounting processes
• Ensure that all entities are tax compliant
• Ensure that all entities’ accounting is up-to-date and accurate on a weekly and monthly basis
• Managing the outsourced teams responsible for transaction processing
• Transaction processing and reconciliations for some of the smaller entities
• Preparing weekly payment requests
• Monthly reporting
• Annual compilation of accounting working papers and balance sheets and income statements
• Lease with and manage company secretarial service providers to ensure compliance of all companies
• Act as a public officer at SARS

Experience:
• Transaction processing on Pastel, Sage One or Xero
• Income tax for companies, trusts, and individuals
• VAT, PAYE, UIF and SDL calculations and submissions
• Reconciliation of debtors, creditors and bank accounts
• Monthly accruals journals
• Project costing and accounting

Qualification:
• 3-year degree in accounting or financial management
• SAIPA (SAICA or CIMA will also be accepted) articles at a small or medium-sized
accounting practice

Package and Remuneration:
• Salary will depend on current experience and qualification with an annual
performance bonus.
