Short Job Description: 

Engineering firm needs an accounts payable clerk for 3 months, 2 and half days a week to aid with loading and processing accounts payable data.

R 10 500 per month

Full Job Description: 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable o Process creditors with different payment terms and COD
  • Load manual payments
  • Creditors capturing and reconciliations
  • Supplier queries- Follow up and closures o Interrogate GRN TB to AP TB o Process monthly invoices, stock and non stock
  • Complete creditors application forms
  • Capture all invoices for processing o Assist with improving, implementing and documenting processes and internal controls policies o Insuring all invoices comply with VAT legislation o Ensuring suppliers are paid according to payment terms and negotiate better payment terms o Communicate with procurement and stores to plan and secure appropriate information and approval for payment o Administrative work- Filing of all documentation, assisting with audits and ad hoc administrative work needed in the finance department
  • Open new supplier accounts
  • Secretarial duties, take minutes in departmental meeting
