A leading provider of various consumables within the Health Care sector is looking for an Assistant Accountant. This role covers the full Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Cash Book functions as well as a number of accounting and other duties within the Finance Division. Please note that this role is B-BEEE.

Full Job Description: 

Carries out a variety of financial and administrative duties.

Maintains accounting and administrative systems and procedures, utilizing appropriate resources and software applications.

This is an office-based environment.

Fluent in English & Afrikaans (written and spoken)

Strong organisational skills

Ability to use own initiative

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels

Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Professional telephone manner

Ability to work accurately under pressure and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines

Strong attention to detail

Own transport and drivers licence

QUALIFICATIONS Formal post-matric qualification (degree or diploma) in accounting/business administration from recognised tertiary educational institution, with accounting as a major

Minimum 5 years relevant commercial experience

Accurate and complete accounting data capture

Proven proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)

Competence in SAP B1 ERP system

Proven ability to compile and present spreadsheet data, maximising the use of formulae and functions 

Debtors and Credit Control 




General Ledger Account Analysis
