Half-day bookkeeper role available in Midrand to work 4 hours per day.  Pastel and Financial / Accounting Diploma essential.

Full Job Description: 

Core Responsibilities:

1 - Tag and monitor fixed assets

2 – Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner

3 – Maintain Creditors Payments and Credit Profile

4 – Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants

5 – Issue invoices to customers

6 – Prepare VAT, EMP201 and other SARS Returns for Auditors

7 – Assist Debtors Clerk to ensure that receivables are collected promptly

8 - Record cash receipts

 9 -Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account

10 - Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy

11 - Maintain the petty cash fund

12 Assist Auditor to Issue financial statements

13 - Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company’s financial statements

14 - Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit

15 - Calculate and issue financial analysis of the financial statements

16 - Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

17 - Maintain the chart of accounts

18 - Maintain the annual budget

19 - Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management

20 - Process payroll in a timely manner

21 - Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested

22 - Follow accounting policies and procedures
