A specialist financial services consulting firm urgently requires a Bookkeeper for a 3-month contract (with the option to extend), due to increased workload. Suitable candidates must be able to start immediately.

Full Job Description:

The temporary bookkeeper will assist the finance team, responsible for the financial operations and financial reporting functions for the group. The suitable candidate must be available to start immediately.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing the books of accounts for certain companies in the group
  • Assisting with the preparation of the monthly and ad hoc reports.
  • Liaising with international and/or national managers
  • Debtors and creditors functions
  • Performing finance/bookkeeping related tasks
  • Preparation of debtors/creditors and cash related reports
  • Development of processes to help streamline the current workflow
  • Resolution of ad hoc queries

Qualifications and experience:

  • B.Com Accounting or similar qualification, with experience up to Trial Balance
  • Independent worker who has the ability to work within a team
  • Deadline driven
  • Strong administrative skills, with attention to detail, meticulous and extremely organized
  • Honest and reliable
  • Well organized and methodical
  • Previous bookkeeping experience on Pastel Partner and /or Pastel Evolution
  • The ability to speak a foreign language a benefit
