Short Job Description: 

Growing FMCG company, focussing on product origin & quality, requires a Financial Accountant/Controller, responsible for the financial reporting, management accounts and year-end financials (including creditors ageing and collection reporting, and cash flow monitoring).  This is a fixed duration contract with the option to extend.

Full Job Description: 

Key performance indicators:
Accountability of the financial operations of the business, encompassing the management of all reporting & financial requirements to the owner. Key deliverables include monthly management accounts & annual Financial Statements, including an analytical review of Income statement and balance sheet reports, Fixed Asset Management, Creditors ageing and collection reporting, cash flow monitoring and intercompany statements and recons

  • Review of monthly/weekly profit reporting and analysis of key variances to the prior year and budget
  • Optimize the costs and efficacy of actions undertaken in accordance with good practices/Internal Control (e.g. customer benefits, value analysis, cost analysis, POS advertising, etc.).
  • Managing accounting reporting and consolidation - Debtors and Creditors teams 
  • Plan and analyze Business Performance, optimize the cost of sales
  • Monitor costs and identify risks and opportunities. Manage the forecast and Annual Operating Commitment, process and oversee audits, both internal and external as well as statutory reporting and tax compliance. 
  • Manage and prepare year-end statutory financial statements and tax returns. 

Min Requirements

  • Relevant 3-year financial qualification
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience within finance
  • Pastel and MS Office
  • Solid FMCG experience essential.
