  3. Some exposure to senior-level Operations Management duties would be advantageous

Job Description:

The role spans the areas of finance, operations/logistics, HR administration, statutory, BEE. The ideal candidate will have good academic credentials, an excellent command of English and strong experience in hands-on financial management.

The financial management element of the role should be viewed as a combination of: a) custodianship of the balance sheet, b) management accounts reporting, c) ensuring accurate transaction processing by the finance team of 3, d) managing of the audit, and e) development and support of the strong but small finance team.

The operations aspect to the role is to act as a source of guidance and transactional problem-solving to the existing 5-member logistics team and IT support.

The administration of HR element of the role is an easy-to-fulfil function but it must be done professionally and accurately. There is no expectation of disciplinary process management or recruitment activities for this role, only documentation administration and payroll management including commission calculations.

The statutory aspect includes taxation and HR statutory filings of all kinds. Experience in the use of e-filing and a solid corporate tax knowledge is required.

BBEEE scorecard disciplines, processes and monitoring systems are well developed but will require knowledge and rigorous administration as well as the determination and execution of activities to maintain the high level of established success.
