Short Job Description: 

An outsourced marketing company based in Sandton is looking for a marketing account manager/executive.  The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, but eager to take on any project and continue learning. They’re an expert in integrated and holistic marketing, enthusiastic to learn, a strong communicator, have an eye for detail, quick on their feet, and most importantly, a team player.   This role will be remote for the next few months thereafter the successful candidate will be expected to commute to the office. 3-month contract with a view to extending.

Requirements:

  • 2 -3 years of marketing experience
  • A degree in marketing or similar
  • Self-starter able to structure own work and work independently
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task responsibilities/projects
  • Analytical problem-solving skills

  • Good teamwork skills
  • Basic IT awareness and skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc)

Responsibilities:

  • A strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Contribute to, and develop marketing plans, budgets and strategies;
  • Ensure brand alignment to the marketing plan and key communication messages
  • Brief, meet and approve quotes and proposals from suppliers
  • Be able to manage and liaise with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers, agencies and partner organisations;
  • Understanding and ability to work with marketing automation, communications, digital marketing, e-marketing, public relations, branding, lead generation
  • Manage budgets;
  • Write and proofread copy;
  • Organise and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions, and exhibitions;
  • Monitoring, reporting, and analysis of marketing tactics
  • Ability to work across multiple brands
  • Knowledge and experience in digital marketing a plus! 

This is a full-time role, remote working for the next few months so reliable and stable internet is a must. Once the company returns to the office, they will allow work from home on an adhoc basis.
