A Senior Marketing Manager is sought for this full-time job with flexibility to work from home. Salary is R600k p.a. highly negotiable.  BtoB or supplier development experience within the SME market required.  Previous marketing within a BEE services company is essential.

Full Job Description: 

10+ years experience in marketing, including 5+ years in marketing management - ideally within B2B, Enterprise or Supplier Development organisation, or BEE services company marketing.  Must understand the BEE landscape intimately and must have worked with SMEs before.

Essential requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in marketing, including 5+ years in marketing management
  • 2+ years experience as a marketing manager in one of these sorts of roles:
    • FIRST PRIZE: An Enterprise Development / Supplier Development organisation, marketing primarily to Transformation managers in SA
    • Alternatively, SECOND PRIZE: any sort of BEE services company marketing primarily to Transformation managers in SA
    • Alternatively, THIRD PRIZE any consulting services firm that markets consulting services to Corporate clients, with BEE as a very strong driver for the corporate client and part of the value proposition for the Supplier / Company

Other requirements:

  • Minimum Undergrad degree - ideally in Marketing or Communications 

Key Competencies:

·         Marketing strategy and execution management

·         Understands the BEE Landscape intimately

·         Should have worked for SMEs before

B2B / B2Enterprise marketing experience (not B2C)

·         Preferably experience working with Enterprise and Supplier development clients

Key deliverables:

·         Refine Marketing strategy

·         Convert Marketing Strategy into a plan, calendar, and budget – shoestring budget approach

  • Manage Execution on Marketing plan , probably with a focus on: 1) Content marketing (light, highly targeted); 2) 3rd party events  /trade show presence; 3) Events (topical breakfasts); 4) Advertorials in key publications; 5) Managing key ‘conversations’ in the public space

·         Build a strong / leadership brand in 3 distinct markets. Primary priority to build the brand within key corporate clients’ transformation managers, and Founders

·         Develop and maintain marketing collateral to support the marketing plan

·         Manage website

·         Manage suppliers

  • Insightful reporting

Marketing branding

·         Manage development of marketing collateral to execute on marketing strategy 

·         Acquire, build, develop database of potential bootcamp invitees

·         Ensure all communications align to Company branding

·         Execution of content marketing strategy (not content development)

·         Management of online and social media presence against

·         Content Marketing Strategy

·         Brand management

·         Convert working documents (PPT, Word, Excel) into Brand aligned documents - professionally formatted and packaged

·         Office Documents, that are print and distribution ready

·         Develop and maintain Boot Camp schedule

·         Manage continuous improvement process, based on feedback from all stakeholders

·         Executive on communication protocol with zero defect

Participant communication and relationship management

·         Develop communication strategy and protocol to manage communication with Candidates (e.g. timing and nature of all standard communications before and after events, milestones, deliverables, etc)

·         Develop outstanding communication materials to achieve communication goals

·         Feedback and Reporting

·         Develop feedback surveys (per bootcamp, per workbook module, per coaching session)

·         Manage feedback process (ask, receive, pester, collate, analyse, report)

·         Gather information for monthly reporting

·         Develop monthly reports

·         Budget management
