Principle job responsibilities:

  • Have existing media contacts and relationships in broadcast, print and online media
  • Actively develop strong relationships with the media, as well as regularly update and maintain media lists
  • Possess an interest in and understanding of what makes good content (a nose for news), how to identify a good angle and make a story go beyond IT trades
  • Stay abreast of the right journalists to engage with at all times and secure Tier 1 coverage to meet client SLAs
  • Have an overarching understanding of PR and digital marketing strategy and be able to implement it on ground level.
  • Perform research to support the delivery and writing of technology orientated press announcements
  • Assist with writing of insightful articles and press releases for publication as required
  • Source feature and profiling opportunities for clients and their spokespeople
  • Time management and accurate reporting, ensure 100% completion and approval of all weekly and monthly reports
  • Active participation in company, internal and external training initiatives
  • Build the company brand through networking and attending required events
  • Ensure a seamless working environment by providing effective cross-functional communication.

Personal development responsibilities (continual)

  • Proactively remain abreast of ICT trends and industry knowledge
  • Self-study in order to develop both technical and soft skills
  • Actively knowledge-share with colleagues
