Payroll Assistant

Short Job Description: 

An established company that operates within the construction industry is looking for a Payroll Assistant to join their finance team.  This role offers flexible working hours, with a remuneration of R15k per month and is based in office, Blackheath. This is an initial 8 - 12 month contract.

Full Job Description: 

To process monthly salaries on the Sage People system
 To resolve all payroll queries
 To manage leave applications on ESS and handle all leave queries
 To process all month end reports and print and distribute pay slips to ESS and individuals
 To process all Nedfleet applications and cancellations
 To capture and reconcile cell phone accounts and fleet cards and send to managers for approval
 To do the administration of all benefits and 3rd party payments (Discovery, Momentum, Allan Gray,
Richton, Ocsacare)
 To complete all the Department of Labour documents for terminations and maternity leave as well as
the monthly declarations submissions to the Department of Labour
 To complete quarterly statistics for all SA companies and the submission of these statistics
 To attend to all E-filing requirements (Applying for tax numbers and directives ect)
 To reconcile all loans, advances and paid payments
 To perform ad hoc payroll tasks (pro-forma pay slips, employment confirmations ect)

 Matric / Grade 12

 Experience on MS Office Suite (Intermediate to advanced level) - use of macro's will be advantageous

 Minimum 1 year experience in processing salaries on SAGE People  Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position processing 350+ salaries

 At least 3 years’ experience in processing 350+ monthly salaries

 Excellent attention to detail

 Ability to work accurately under pressure

 Ability to organize work and manage time

 Deadline driven

 Excellent written and verbal comm
