Payroll Officer (Half Day)

Short Job Description: 

Strong proficiency in Time and Attendance system, SARS e-filing and e@syfile, with minimum 5 years' experience on VIP payroll essential.  Immediate start preferred.

Full Job Description: 

Working hours will be for 25 hours per week, with a weighting to Monday and Tuesday, as wages are released on Wednesday. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be used for other work, such as recons, third-party payments etc.

Processing weekly wages (+/- 120 staff, contract and permanent).
Processing monthly salaries (+/- 40 staff).
Submitting payroll related payments to the finance department for loading and releasing.
Distribution of weekly and monthly wages and payroll reports.
Prepare and process weekly and monthly wage and payroll journals.
Periodic General Ledger reconciliations of all payroll related accounts.
Ensuring compliance with company policy wrt all payroll related aspects.
Issuing monthly time and attendance graphs for all weekly staff.
Loading of new staff onto VIP and Trach Tech (time and attendance clocking).
Monitoring and escalating IT systems issues through the appropriate channels.
Completion and submission of all payroll related statutory returns (EMP201, EMP501 etc).
Ad hoc tasks as required by various departments.

Minimum 5 years experience as a payroll administrator.
Minimum 5 years experience on VIP payroll.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Payroll related qualification would be advantageous but not a primary requirement.

Strong knowledge of Trac Tech (time and attendance).
Strong knowledge and experience of SARS e-filing and e@syfile.
Must have experience administering payroll within a factory concern.
