  • Demonstrated underwriting expertise gained from working in a similar position
  • A comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry, including any new approaches or practices being introduced
  • Working knowledge of professional standards and codes. Strong financial and systems knowledge
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously, with high attention to detail
  • Excellent admin skills and IT interaction ability, as you will be interacting using an underwriting software program.
  • General admin/office management tasks such as updating data, loading program, and at times possible basic system financial reconciliations and allocations.
