Short Job Description: 

Leading suppliers and manufacturers of temperature systems require a Bookkeeper (to balance sheet) to join their team.  Strong operational experience and sound understanding/experience in MS Excel and Syspro required.

Full Job Description:

This bookkeeper (to Balance Sheet) role includes the financial administrative requirements of cash book, general ledger, salaries and wages, all returns, reconciliations etc.

  • Overseeing the debtors and creditors. (excluding invoicing, and debtor’s receipts and collections, done by support staff).
  • Balance Sheet Functions: process the month end procedures on SYSPRO, and check Distribution Reports and Balance to Control Accounts
  • Opening trial balance (Ms Excel) post distributions and journals monthly. (These journals are estimates for depreciation, audit fees, stock estimates and monthly journals), and derive the income statement and balance sheet.
  • Submit quarterly financial statements to the bank
  • Year-end: post all adjusting journals for accruals, provisions, stock adjustments, bad debts, income tax, etc. (MS Excel)
  • Finalise stock sheets
  • Deferred tax schedules and reconciliation and depreciation schedules and assets register (MS Excel)
  • Reconcile overseas creditors and adjust for fluctuation in exchange
  • Prepare the balance sheet for the auditors. 
  • Provisional tax calculation and returns
  • Preparing a budget for the coming year, maintained monthly. Report on actual monthly figures compared to budget
  • Prepare annual Insurance schedules
  • Sales cost analysis from SYSPRO reports to ensure gross profit targets.
  • Analysis of production costs and recovery of factory expenses
  • Process monthly payments and all returns
