Short Job Description: 

An agricultural employer in the Overberg is looking for a dynamic, experienced training specialist who can work on a contractual basis.  The successful candidate must be an experienced Skills Development Facilitator. This work will require approximately 60 hours per month.

Full Job Description: 

The ideal candidate should meet at least the following requirements:
 Relevant tertiary qualification coupled with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Learning and Development,
 Ability to meet tight delivery deadlines with accuracy and agility. Good problem-solving
abilities. Strong attention to detail is required,
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with a passion for people,
 Advanced computer skills,
 Valid Driver’s Licence with own transport,
 Excellent knowledge of the Skills Development Legislation as well as Occupational Health
Training Requirements,
 Strong expertise and track record of engaging with SETA’s and previous knowledge and experience in dealing with AgriSETA will be an added advantage,
 Knowledge of and experience in Skills Development requirements

 

 

  • in terms of BBBEE and the verification requirements thereof.

  • Duties will include but will not be limited to: 

  • Training needs assessment, planning, budgeting, coordination and arrangement of training programmes,

  • Identifying suitable and cost-effective training providers,

  •  
  • Liaising with SETA’s, service providers, educational institutions and funding organisations, 

  • Assisting with the selection and support of tertiary students, internships and learnerships together with the relevant internal departments,

  • BBBEE verification preparation for Skills Development

  • Submitting all required SETA applications and following up on payments,

  • Liaison with Technical training institutions for the facilitation of Apprenticeship Training,

  • Liaison with management regarding training needs and training arrangements, and

  • Arrangement of all compliance training in terms of Occupational Health and safety Legislation.
